Story Overview

Nari, a Korean-American woman grieving the loss of her child, inherits a shamanic legacy she never wanted. A power that threatens to unravel her identity. Her abilities grow, but so do the forces hunting her. As the lines between the living and the dead blur, a ritual may be her only escape—or her final undoing.

Suddenly, the faces of the happy family zoom in front of her eyes, as if drawn by a powerful magnet. Their gigantic faces freeze, grotesquely contorted.

It's as if time has stopped; all sounds fade away. Nari’s body becomes paralyzed before she can scream, her mouth agape as she locks eyes with the giant faces. Only her terrified pupils tremble.

                         NARI

                   (breathing heavily,

                  she manages to

                    groan)

           ...Ah... ah...

The eyes of the distorted faces begin to move rapidly up and down, side to side.
